Can you believe it? The holiday season is almost here. Some may think that it’s impossible to go through this wonderful time of the year without gaining weight. This year, try the tips below to help you enjoy this season’s festivities with minimal weight gain:
  • Don’t skip meals in anticipation of the party
  • Slip into something fitted (You will be less likely to stuff yourself)
  • Eat slowly and savor the flavor
  • Go for zero (or low calorie) drinks
  • Opt for the fruits and vegetable tray first before the crackers
  • Socialize away from the buffet table, bar, or kitchen
  • Go light on dips
  • Choose whole wheat or multigrain bread, if possible
  • Go for lighter condiments (Mustard or BBQ sauce vs. Mayo, Creamy Ranch, etc.)
  • Don’t wait until the new year to start your fitness program. Start your resolution to be active TODAY!
