My biggest challenge was getting started with eating healthy portions and cutting back on pasta, bread and ice cream. After about a week or so it was getting easier and the cravings for sweets were going away .Instead of ice cream, I would substitute it with some fresh fruit. What motivated you to stay on the course? Staying on course was easy as soon as I started seeing results and watching my points rise. It also helped after I dropped the first few pounds. I really enjoyed the competition. Did your diet change? If so, How? Please be detailed! I cut out pasta, potatoes and fats from Monday through Thursday and cut down on portions during the weekends. When I wanted a snack I would eat bananas or some other healthy snack. What advice could you give to others that want the same results? Keep track of what you eat. Make your biggest part of your meal a salad or some other healthy vegetable along with a lean protein. Do not eat pasta or bread after 6pm. Try not to eat anything from a box or can for at least 4 days a week. Go sign up for the wellness center and see our trainer. He will give you excellent advice with both diet and exercise. Allow one or two days to eat what you like (in moderation.) How is this experience going to affect you going forward? I will continue to try and lose and get down to my ideal weight. For me this needs to be a life style change not just a 12 week challenge. Thank you Rami for pushing us all and persuading me to sign up. |
