Name:                         D. Toussaint
Improvement:           3% Reduction of Body Fat
Time:                          3 months
Program:                    2011 Total Transformation Challenge

What was your biggest challenge / obstacle (s)?
My biggest challenge was changing my diet and eating habits. If you ask anyone who knows me, they will tell you that my diet mainly consisted of rice every day. I love rice, mainly white.

I was raised on rice so that was the hardest thing for me to limit within my diet. It took a lot of sweat and tears as if I was going through withdrawals but, I starting eating a lot less rice and begun eating lots of fruits and salad.

What motivated you to stay on the course?
My motivations were my personal traits towards a goal which includes dedication and allegiance. Other motivators were my guilty conscience and actually seeing results in my body which helped me push further towards my goal.
In addition, Rami was very helpful, he believed I could certain things that I never thought I would be able to do. He pushed me every single time I did a challenge.

Did your diet change? If so, How? Please be detailed!
As I mentioned above I limited the amount of carbs I took in. I still eat rice but it is mainly brown rice and bulgur wheat. I followed Rami’s recommendations by eating most of my carbs in the mornings. I also ate in small portions, rather than the rice being the main entrée. I ate small meals frequently to keep my metabolism going and it also helped with the hunger I get after work, where I go home and want to eat everything in and out of site. Plus I replaced one of my meals with a protein shake. I drank lots and lots of water and ate breakfast every morning as soon as I woke up.

What advice could you give to others that want the same results?
My only advice is for people to comprehend that anything is possible with hard work, discipline and self determination. You are the only obstacle in your way!

How is this experience going to affect you going forward?
This experience has taught me that no one is perfect and that there is always room for improvement(s).
