Name:                         H. Walcoff
Improvement:           10lbs. Weight Loss
Time:                          3 months
Program:                    2011 Total Transformation Challenge

What was your biggest challenge / obstacle (s)?
My biggest obstacle was to curb my after-dinner eating.  My husband is a nighttime "nosher" and it was hard watching him eat. I overcame it by drinking a cup of tea in the evenings. I normally run 3 days a week but now I also walk 3 miles on the days I lift weights or take Rami’s classes.

What motivated you to stay on the course?
I find having to weigh in every week and seeing the difference in the way my clothes fit are my 2 biggest motivations.

Did your diet change? If so, how? Please be detailed!
I actually added more carbs to my diet. I used to drink a shake for breakfast and sometimes a salad for lunch; but now I have a bowl of cereal or oatmeal for breakfast and a sandwich on whole grain bread for lunch.  I found eating more carbohydrates during the day gave me more energy to work out in the evenings.

What advice could you give to others that want the same results?
You have to look at this experience as not just a 12 week diet/exercise program. You are changing your life style.  From the first day forward you are now going to eat healthy and exercise regularly. I never considered myself on a diet; I have simply changed the way I eat.

How is this experience going to affect you going forward?
I will continue to eat better and add different exercises to my regimen.
