Name: A. Fevrier
Location: JFK Medical Center. Atlantis, FL Improvement: 20+ lbs Weight Loss Time: 3 Months Program: 2009 / 2010 Total Transformation Challenge - Summer Challenge What was your biggest challenge / obstacle (s)? My biggest challenge was finding the time to exercise and plan my meals. However, once I made myself a priority everything else fell into place. I began to realize that if I did not make the time for my own health and well being that nothing else really mattered. What motivated you to stay on the course? I started this journey about 3 years ago and the greatest motivation was seeing how my body was changing for the better. It has been difficult at times to resist all the temptations but there is no greater feeling of accomplishment to take the weight off and most importantly keeping it off. Did your diet change? If so, How? Please be detailed! My diet has improved significantly. I limit carbohydrates as much as possible. I eat mostly whole grains but in the early part of the day. I follow Rami's recommendations of what fruits/foods to eat in the day versus the evenings and believe me it makes a difference in the results that you achieve. What advice could you give to others that want the same results? Be patient....it is a new way of living and it takes hard work. The weight comes off if you persevere over time. There will be times when the results will not show on the scale but the compliments you receive and the body staring back at you in the mirror will let you know that your efforts are not fruitless. Also, there will be many times when you will fall short but get back on track as soon as possible. Just continue the journey to wellness. How is this experience going to affect you going forward? This experience has led me to have great belief in myself and others around me. There are many people in our lives that will guide us in the right direction if we are willing to do the work and take that first crucial step. I hope that like others before me, I am inspiration to others to let them know that all you have to do is make that commitment to yourself. |
