Atlantis, FL Improvement: Toning & Increased Strength Time: 3 Months Program: 2009 Total Transformation Challenge - Summer Challenge What was your biggest challenge / obstacle (s)? My biggest challenge was changing my eating habits. I was used to noshing in the evening after dinner. Eliminating those snacks was my largest obstacle. What motivated you to stay on the course? My motivation was definitely the scale. Having to weigh in every week and have it posted caused me to stay focused. Did your diet change? If so, how? My diet definitely changed. I eliminated about 200 calories between lunch and dinner by substituting an apple for the one or two granola bars I used to eat every day. My dinners now consist of a protein, vegetable and salad (no more carbs at night). I also cut out my late night eating. What advice could you give to others that want the same results? You have to be ready mentally in order to be able to change yourself physically. How is this experience going to affect you going forward? This experience has taught me to be more careful with my food choices. I will also keep weight training as well as all the “challenge moves” in my exercise regime at least twice a week. |
