Improvement: Strength Improvement / 3+% Reduction in Body Fat Time: 3 months Program: 2023 Total Transformation Challenge - Summer Challenge What was your biggest challenge / obstacle (s)? My biggest challenge/obstacle during this challenge was when my work schedule had changed for 2 weeks. When I couldn’t fit in my workouts and classes at the gym, I felt less motivated to push myself to workout hard at home. It makes me that much more grateful for the community and environment of this gym. It is so motivating and keeps me in a happy space. It is something I always look forward to during the week. What motivated you to stay on the course? The classes definitely played a huge role in keeping me motivated to participate, they are all amazing! Also I am naturally competitive and wanted to win the challenge. As well as fellow co-workers who held me accountable to attend the sessions. It has been a lot of fun. Did your diet change? If so, How? Please be detailed! I already keep to a pretty clean diet (most of the time) with sticking to whole foods, veggies, fish and chicken. Staying away from processed foods. During this challenge I did cut my usual tuna fish wrap from subway that I would eat every day at work for lunch. I thought it was healthy because it was tuna and packed with fresh veggies but when I stopped eating it I felt a significant difference in the way I felt after. More energy and less bloated. I tend to go for a different wrap from a healthier source instead now. Not the best switch but I’m sure I will come up with an optimal alternative soon. What advice could you give to others that want the same results? Work hard and more importantly have fun. Stay consistent. How is this experience going to affect you going forward? This experience has given me the drive and kick in the pants to continue onward with my health journey and goals of becoming a stronger version of me. |
