Name: A. Ribero
Improvement: 20 lbs Weight Loss Time: 3 months Program: 2015 Total Transformation Challenge—Summer Edition What was your biggest challenge / obstacle (s)? The biggest challenge has been getting motivated to show up at the gym after work. Even though I know that once there I will put in the work and I will feel better at the end. It is getting a little easier after feeling the results but some days are still very hard to do. What motivated you to stay on the course? Seeing and feeling the results played a major role in keeping me on track. I have always enjoyed working out but the variety of the work outs, the competition between other employees and teams, the support from other participants and of course the encouragements from Rami has made it a lot more fun than in the past. Did your diet change? If so, How? Please be detailed! My diet has changed completely but I still cheat moderately on the weekends. I love to eat and sometimes it’s not necessarily “healthy”, if it is fried, fattening or lots of carbohydrates then I am in heaven. However, I have been able to stay away from that menu and eat a proper breakfast, a big lunch and a light dinner as recommended by the Total Transformation program. That included lots of freshly prepared salads, fruits, chicken, fish, water and no soda or fast food. What advice could you give to others that want the same results? The best advice is to sign up at the Employee Wellness Center, try the group workouts, and have fun. A little competition doesn’t hurt anyone and it’s actually a lot of fun. You work out, you sweat, you embrace pain as you make progress, you meet people, you make friends, you want everyone to be able to do what you are doing and vice versa. Don’t just sit and wish you could be a part of it. Get up and do it. We can all do it! How is this experience going to affect you going forward? It has brought back the enjoyment of working out and the desire to get back to running long distances. This time it will be better because I won’t concentrate just on running, but by improving the diet, getting the proper rest and cross training I think I will be more successful and it will be a permanent change. |
