Atlantis, FL Improvement: 30+ lbs Weight Loss / 4.8% Reduction of Body Fat Time: 6 Months Program: 2010 Total Transformation Challenge / Summer Challenge What was your biggest challenge / obstacle (s)? After successfully completing the first challenge, I decided to participate in this challenge. My biggest obstacle was, once again, me!! I had to truly accept the fact that I am the one and only person who controls my food choices and exercise habits. I had to believe in myself and realize that there was no room for excuses. It was up to me to either succeed or fail and failure was not an option. I have seen failure, done failure and didn't want to do that again! Once I got my head on straight, there was no stopping me from reaching my goals. What motivated you to stay on the course? Besides self motivation, my kids motivated me tremendously. As parents, most of us encourage our kids to participate in sports, exercise, and PE. How can we not do the same? I did not want my kids to work so hard at their sports but then see that their mom doesn't exercise at all. I wanted to show them that exercise is for everyone--adults too! We all benefit from exercise--both physically and mentally. This challenge taught me that exercise must become a part of my daily routine, just like brushing my teeth!! Not a day goes by when I don't do both!! Did your diet change? If so, How? Please be detailed! My diet became healthier too. I write down everything I eat. Food is not in control of me. I am the boss of what I choose to eat. And that is that. What advice could you give to others that want the same results? I would tell others to believe in yourself and you too can reach your fitness and health goals. I constantly say to myself: "If you want it, you gota go and get it and when you get it you got to keep it because the taste of defeat is not an option!!" And that is so true here. How is this experience going to affect you going forward? Both challenges have changed my life and I plan on keeping my healthy habits in place for a long time!! P. Cozad at 12 Weeks
