Improvement: 10 lbs Weight Loss Time: 3 months Program: 2015 Total Transformation Challenge What was your biggest challenge / obstacle (s)? When I started the Total Transformation Challenge, one of my biggest challenges was getting in all those weekly miles. My legs would get so tire and I would get so short of breath. Some days I even wanted to give up, but I am very happy that I did not. What motivated you to stay on the course? My teammates kept me going! I was able to jog one mile non-stop, without feeling like I was going to pass out from lack of air. My legs got so much stronger, I had more endurance, and my speed increased. I now jog 5 miles and it feels great! My clothes fit so much better and I feel more toned. Also, I sleep like a baby now! Did your diet change? If so, How? Please be detailed! My diet did change, but not too drastically. I started by making smaller changes that I can keep for life. I cut down on my sugar intake, I increased my protein and fiber, and I filled my plate with fresh vegetables. I watch my portions carefully and my lightest and smallest meal is now dinner. What advice could you give to others that want the same results? My advice for anyone is to be consistent. Start small. Never say that you can’t do it. Everything is possible once you set your mind to it. Get started and if it would help, find a workout buddy that would motivate you. No matter how hard it might get, don’t ever give up! How is this experience going to affect you going forward? I will do my best to keep the weight off and stay in shape. I am in the best shape of my life. I worked hard to get to where I am today and I want to keep it that way. I intend to participate in all the upcoming challenges. Every challenge pushes me to get better and stronger! |
