My biggest challenge was forgetting what I thought I knew about nutrition and learning what I should eat, when I should eat it, and how much I should eat. What motivated you to stay on the course? With every pound I lost, it motivated me to lose more. Did your diet change? If so, How? Please be detailed! I started keeping track of every calorie that I ate by reading product labels, it helped me to stay under my daily calorie goal. What advice could you give to others that want the same results? Don’t give up, even if you fall off the wagon. Get yourself right back on and think about how bad you want to lose weight and be healthier. How is this experience going to affect you going forward? I am not stopping now! I didn’t change my diet and exercise temporarily, this is a lifestyle change. The biggest part is that I truly believe I have added years onto my life. I am a type II diabetic and before I started this challenge, I was injecting 5 shots per day. After losing 25 pounds, I am now down to 2 shots per day and those are at less than half the dosage I was injecting prior to changing the way I ate and exercised. I always worried that I wouldn’t be around to see my children grow up. Now I feel like I’ll be around to see their children grow up. |
