Name: D. Nelson
Location: JFK Medical Center. Atlantis, FL
Improvement: 20+ lbs Weight Loss
Time: 3 months
Program: 2016 Total Transformation Challenge - Summer Edition

What was your biggest challenge / obstacle (s)?
My biggest challenge was diet and the timing of eating. It got better as challenge progressed. With extensive exercise, the body craves calories to maintain itself, altering the diet is a challenge in itself.

What motivated you to stay on the course?
My motivation was to finish what I started. Make it fun and it won't feel like a challenge. Healthy is cheap. Sickness can be expensive.

Did your diet change? If so, How? Please be detailed!
My diet did not really change. Yet a keen awareness of what and what not to eat came into play. Less carbs at night. Ratios of proteins and vegies and water are key.

What advice could you give to others that want the same results?
"do or do not, there is no try"-yoda
The mind is the weakest link to a challenge when thoughts of doubt creep in and sabotage your efforts. Rest is very important, it is the time for healing. Water, water ,water!

How is this experience going to affect you going forward?
I came to this challenge with healthy ability in swimming cycling, running and weight training, yet I am very humbled at the way my body accepted the workouts and boot camps provided a "kick it up a notch" approach to "working out". Do we workout to eat or eat to work out? are we training or just working out?
