What was your biggest challenge / obstacle (s)?
My biggest challenge was not giving up and struggling to complete the challenges. The challenges motivated me to try, try, and try again.
What motivated you to stay on the course?
The thing that motivated me the most, my age. At 64, you can easily start to believe that you are too old to do many things. Nevertheless, age is just a number and in this challenge, I did things I never thought I could do. WOW!
Did your diet change? If so, How? Please be detailed!
I had already made changes to my diet a few year ago. However, this challenge helped me to understand that not all fruits are created equal. I should Go Green and lean, sugar and salt cannot always been seen, take the time to really read your labels and moderation, moderation is always the key.
What advice could you give to others that want the same results?
Always Challenge yourself! Look at every challenge as an opportunity for you to grow because you do not know what you can do until you do it. Believe you can, to achieve you can, step up to any challenge and stand.
How is this experience going to affect you going forward?
Going forward, this experience has set the pace for me to have a better quality of life as I strive to age gracefully, healthy and whole. If I continue to challenge myself and go the distance, I will achieve that quality of life I am looking for.
