Really most days I just wanted to go home. I had never worked out at a gym before so it was a bit intimidating. What motivated you to stay on the course? I had a great team! We really enjoyed the challenge of earning points to become finalists. For someone who doesn’t enjoy exercising it made it fun. Did your diet change? If so, How? Please be detailed! I reduced my carb intake and decreased my portion size. Having to weigh in weekly is a good motivator. No cookies, ice cream and candy helps also. What advice could you give to others that want the same results? Stick with it and you will see success. When I first started I went on the elliptical and could only do a few minutes before I had to stop. By the end of the challenge I did 5k on the elliptical in 33min. If you asked me that first day I would have said it was impossible. How is this experience going to affect you going forward? In the past I just kept losing and gaining the same 15 lbs. I now feel I have the tools to not let that happen. I have not been this weight since 1993. |
