Name: D. Paulinis
Improvement: 10+ lbs weight loss / 4% Body Fat Reduction Time: 3 months Program: 2018 Total Transformation Challenge - Summer Challenge What was your biggest challenge / obstacle (s)? My biggest challenge was changing my diet and remaining consistent to working out. What motivated you to stay on the course? My biggest motivation was the weekly weigh in. Every Friday felt like judgement day, because I knew that I would have to face Rami, our trainer at the scale. Knowing how determined and dedicated Rami is in helping us reach our goals, I was inspired to push myself to work hard, because just like him- I wanted to see results! Another factor was the compliments and words of encouragement I received from co- workers and family members who noticed the change. Did your diet change? If so, How? Please be detailed! My diet has changed tremendously. Before the challenge, I use to skip meals, over eat the wrong things (like a bag of family size Doritos a day), eat out a lot, and eat a big plate of rice and fried food everyday. Now, I drink mostly water, I eat a smaller portion size, gave up on fried food, I snack on fruits and vegetables during the day, meal prep healthy home cooked foods for the week, and eat rice on occasions. What advice could you give to others that want the same results? The way you view your body has a big impact on your confidence. Stop saying "it's too much work", "it's too hard," "I can't do it," "I don't have time," or "I'm too tired"! Negativity and inconsistency used to be my excuses too. You have to take a stand and realize that you can and you will. It's not easy but it is possible. Create the time, find a gym, find a trainer, find a motivated work out partner, find and do anything you need to do in order to reach your goal! Focus on your progress and not on the amount of time it takes to get there. How is this experience going to affect you going forward? The advice, discipline, and determination I gained will continue to drive me to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I love waking up feeling sore after a good work out, and feeling energized after eating a healthy nutritious meal. |
