Name: G. Pierre Louis
Improvement: 25 lbs Weight Loss / 7% Reduction of Body Fat Time: 3 months Program: 2016 Total Transformation Challenge - Summer Challenge What was your biggest challenge / obstacle (s)? My biggest obstacle was sticking with my diet in the beginning. I had the right food but motivating myself each and every week to stick with it was hard; however, with hard work, dedication, and perseverance I made it to the end. What motivated you to stay on the course? My motivation came from my love Venus Fleurimon who encouraged me to stick with my diet and actually help kick start my diet plan. All the praise goes to her because without her, this challenge would be most difficult and I probably will not see this much results. Did your diet change? If so, How? Please be detailed! Yes, my diet changed. At first, I tried to limit my intake of carbohydrates like rice, but I saw that was not as effective because I still gained weight. Therefore, I made a deal with myself and eliminated carbohydrates out my diet. It was not easy but it helped a lot. I ate more vegetables, which was boiled to make it easier to eat. It was an easy transition. With each week that I lost weight, I celebrated with my bowl of rice on the weekends; on the other hand, if I did not lose weight, I would not eat rice. What advice could you give to others that want the same results? It is hard but you most find that inner strength and pull it out of you and dig deep to finish. Find something or someone to motivate you. Mine was my love Venus and some great outfits that could not fit because of my increase weight. Whatever the motivation is, use it and let that unleashed the fighter from within. You can do it. Just believe and find the little push that will take you to the next level and transform not your body but mind as well. How is this experience going to affect you going forward? Moving forward, I planned on sticking with my diet and working out to maintain my weight. Always remember the words of Henry Van Dyke, “Some succeed because they are destined to, but most succeed because they are determined to,” and I was determine to succeed. |
