Improvement: 15+ lbs. Weight Loss / 4+% Reduction of Body Fat Time: 6 months Program: 2013 Total Transformation Challenge / Summer Challenge What was your biggest challenge / obstacle (s)? Initially my biggest challenge was truly “cleaning” up my diet. You just don’t realize the carbs and sugars that are in a lot of the foods that we eat. Hence, for me it was not wanting to give up even when the scale didn’t move. What motivated you to stay on the course? I love the atmosphere in the classes and we wind up pushing each other to stay the course. Also, once I started seeing a difference. Who knew that I actually had triceps! That actually made me want to do more. Did your diet change? If so, How? Please be detailed! I have 6 low carb days and 1 high carb day. I have not had a piece of candy in 5 weeks and I don’t miss it. I have stopped eating out other than on my high carb day. I have eaten a lot of boiled/baked chicken with only green vegetables. Basically, I am doing carb cycling. Even on a high carb day my carbs have come from a sweet potato, brown rice, yogurt with granola………healthy carbs. What advice could you give to others that want the same results? Challenge yourself, push yourself, and never give up. To see the difference you have t o change your diet and be dedicated to the work-out. Most of all, have fun while you are doing it. How is this experience going to affect you going forward? I’m hooked. Seeing the results alone will keep me coming back for more. And…….. I get to buy smaller clothes. :) |
