What was your biggest challenge / obstacle (s)?
My biggest challenge/obstacle was my schedule. Sometimes I had to work when I had good intentions of going to the gym. Another obstacle was challenging my upper body strength, which is my weakness.
What motivated you to stay on the course?
My motivation to stay on course was wanting to finish strong and the encouragement of my teammates. When I started noticing a change in my body and my husband noticed it, I knew I had to keep going.
Did your diet change? If so, How? Please be detailed!
My diet has changed quite a bit. I do not drink sodas anymore because I realize the amount of sugar they have which creates belly fat. The same for bread, white rice, sweets and other foods high in sugar that I use to eat.
What advice could you give to others that want the same results?
My advice to others would be first set a realistic goal for yourself. After you have reached that goal, push yourself to go further. You will be surprised and what your body can do once you put your mind to it.
How is this experience going to affect you going forward?
This experience has changed my way of life totally. First, I do not rush home now. I make sure I am in the gym at least 2-3 times a week. I will continue this even after the challenge. I was in the last challenge and continued going to the gym so my body would be used to working out. This will be my way of life because I know healthier is better.
