Name:                        N. Kaizen
Location:                    Boynton Beach, FL
Improvement:            Weight loss 50lbs
Time:                          3 months
Program:                    2009 / 2011 Total Transformation Challenge

What was your biggest challenge / obstacle (s)?
My biggest challenge was myself.  I don't always believe in myself, nor do I see the same things others see in me.  I often have to "talk" to myself, reminding me that I am strong and capable of doing so much more than I think. I am finally at a point in my life that I am becoming comfortable in my skin and am happy with the way I look and feel.

What motivated you to stay on the course?
My children motivated me to stay on course.  I have a 5 and 12 year old.  I am too young to be as unhealthy as I was.  If I continued on the old course, I wouldn't see my children grow up and that scared me.  Whenever I felt like giving up, I would hear their little voices saying "I love you mommy".

Did your diet change? If so, How? Please be detailed!
I always ate well, but had begun to eat too much of the "bad" stuff.  I try to eliminate most refined sugar from my diet.  Because of this, I tend not to crave anything.  I also eat a lot of fruit and vegetables.  I usually allow myself a "cheat day", which is Friday night only.

What advice could you give to others that want the same results?
If you want the same results, I encourage you first and foremost to believe in yourself.  I would then develop a plan with your trainer that works for you and stick with it.  Listen to your trainer's suggestions, he's usually right!  After a little while, it becomes a part of your life.

How is this experience going to affect you going forward?
Going forward, I will never look back and become what I was. I've worked too hard and I deserve so much more.  I want to be an example to my girls.  12 weeks ago I couldn't run at all. Now I can run 2 miles with my older daughter.  Who would've thought!
