Time:                          3 months
Program:                    2012 Total Transformation Challenge - Summer Edition

What was your biggest challenge / obstacle (s)?
I don’t feel I had many challenges because when I put my mind to something, I do it.  My only downfall was being tired but I felt so good after I worked out that I just continued to push through it.

What motivated you to stay on the course?
I was able to stay motivated because each week I could see small results and having to report in to someone makes you want to do the right thing. We are very blessed as a hospital to have this resource available to us and I hope others will utilize the services because the way the challenge is set up, really proves results.

Did your diet change? If so, How? Please be detailed!
My diet changed by truly cutting out the sweets and simple carbohydrates. I would still eat carbs but I tried to ensure they were the good carbs. I used to get hungry later in the evenings after eating dinner but I would just drink water and the hunger would subside.  I ate three good meals a day and if I snacked because of hunger, it was always something like fruit or cottage cheese.

What advice could you give to others that want the same results?
Start by making the choice of working out one day at a time. Because of the motivation you will have at the gym, you will want to continue striving to meet your goals. After a week, you will realize that you just made it through and probably lost a few pounds and feel better because of the cardiovascular activity.  This makes you want to get through another day and then another week.

How is this experience going to affect you going forward?
I am very happy with my progress so I plan to continue working just as hard so that I continue seeing positive results. I have received so many wonderful comments on the way I look so it makes me want to push more and more.
