My biggest challenge during the 12 weeks of the TCC was in letting myself get too hungry at times and then eating too much of the wrong things, too fast. I also have a bad knee and had to look for ways to do some of the challenges and not cause myself further problems. Some things I simply shouldn't do and that is hard to accept. Motivation to stay on course..... Having those Jeans that had been on the closet shelf for months finally fit again and even become a little loose! Thinking of Rami's observation to me that mentally I could defeat myself and be unable to do something, just because I thought I couldn't. Lesson learned.....if you think you can't do something, get a second opinion. You might be wrong!! Diet changes..... I cut out a lot of fat from my diet. Also cut back drastically on things like crackers, cookies and other sweets. I kept a food diary and recorded everything I ate. Often I would pass by something I was craving because I didn't want to see the calorie and fat gram counts in my diary. I kept a stock of frozen vegetables in the freezer and would use them to make soups more filling. Always had apples on hand since they are filling, they crunch and are sweet. Advice to others..... My best shortest advice.....Do the next Total Transformation Challenge!!! I firmly believe that if you do what is required there is no way you can't see results. It really works. The next best thing? Walk!!! It is great for burning fat and the new treadmills in the EWC are really nice! Going forward.... Obviously I wish to maintain the losses I have experienced. I will need to continue exercising and watching my diet. I did receive some great advice from someone wise in the ways of dieting which I intend to implement. Tell myself, "You can have that__________________(whatever I am craving) you just can't have it right now. |
