Time: 3 months

What was your biggest challenge / obstacle (s)?
To keep a positive frame of mind when things do not go as expected; when I have done all I should perfectly and I do not see the scale going down. The worst was when I had lost 13 lbs. total and then I gained back 3 without eating wrong or stopping my exercises. I felt I had an enemy inside my body boycotting my efforts. Then I remembered the enemy had won a battle but not the war.

What motivated you to stay on the course?

I started feeling healthier, with more endurance, I felt stronger, happier and prettier.

Did your diet change? If so, How? Please be detailed!

I started using my fitness pal and it helped me to realize what I eat, to keep track of my calories, the kind of food I ate and to have all three meals/snacks. It also was like an accountability partner for my exercises. I realized I have been eating healthier and craving better foods than before.

What advice could you give to others that want the same results?

The key is to try to not focus on the end results. It is about sculpting my own body and taking my time doing so. It is still hard for me as I tend to be goal oriented. My way to work on myself was to think that if an artist sculpts an art piece too fast, it will not be as perfect. It might also be unbalanced and more prone to break. So, I am sculpting myself, I am learning to make my body healthier so that my quality of life will exponentially improve. And I need to learn how to have fun in the process and not to be so hard on myself... I think Rami has been great at keeping me level-headed and for it I am very thankful!

How is this experience going to affect you going forward?

Well, it is like I have internalized a compass. I know where I need to go and I will get there. My goal is to lose more 40-50 lbs. which I hope I can accomplish by December/2018. I also want to learn to detach the immediate satisfaction from the end goal and to start focusing on the process; feeding my positivity by being aware of the progress and transformation that is taking place consistently. It is like learning that transformation has seasons and that we cannot speed the process. And surrender... and to keep walking in the right direction no matter what. I need to learn to enjoy all the little accomplishments of everyday and to be thankful that I have made the decision to change my life. Forever. No matter what it takes.
