Finding the energy to workout after a twelve hour shift or even eat correctly. It's easy to let the stress of work make you find reasons to be lazy or turn to comfort foods high in fat and sugar. What motivated you to stay on the course? My energy levels started to change for the better. So I kept on doing different workouts multiple times a week. It was tough but I felt better and better each time I worked out. Did your diet change? If so, How? Please be detailed! I changed what I ate and portion. Finding a meal prep service really helped me with that. Grocery shopping is expensive these days, not to mention the time behind shopping, cooking and cleaning. Freeing up some of these task gave you more time to go for a walk, go-to the gym, stretching in yoga or even meditating on the beach during sunrise. What advice could you give to others that want the same results? The journey can only be started by making the first step. It's not easy but you reach deep inside and ask yourself what you want, how you are gonna get there and the small measurable goals that lead into the bigger goal. It's not a perfect recipe but you change things to suit your style and you will find the perfect recipe that works for you. How is this experience going to affect you going forward? I will continue my fitness journey, leading more into other fitness activities that aren't your typical workouts. I now take boxing classes, boot camp classes, Zumba classes as well as cross fit style classes. Next on the list will be more 5K and obstacle races. |
