Name: A. Calma
Improvement: 23 lbs. Weight Loss / 9+% Body Fat Reduction
Time: 6 months
Program: 2024 Holidays Challenge / 2025 New Year Challenge

What was your biggest challenge / obstacle (s)?
There were times during the challenge that I got complacent and it slowed down my weight loss. But the constant reminder & encouragement from our training specialist helped me get back on track.

What motivated you to stay on the course?
I am competitive at heart and the desire to win this challenge was a big motivation. However, I consider myself already a winner because my hard work is paying off--I feel good inside and out, my clothes shrunk six sizes down and people are taking notice of the transformation. But most importantly, my overall health and well-being has improved by a lot, and that is priceless.

Did your diet change? If so, How? Please be detailed!
Healthier options and watching the portions. I have maintained the diet I had while doing the previous Holiday challenge last year and that is--high protein, low carbs/reduced sugar and salt, love my overnight oats and cobb salad, and staying hydrated. I do have "cheat days" and indulge my cravings once in a while.

What advice could you give to others that want the same results?
Take the first step towards a healthy lifestyle-- exercise and proper nutrition. Set achievable goals. Persevere because it's not going to be easy, and be determined to hit your mark, be consistent. Have fun and enjoy the gym.

How is this experience going to affect you going forward?
The gym has become part of my routine. TTC or not, I will keep working out, keep going to the gym even after I have reached what I set myself to achieve. I will do my best to keep the weight off and maintain good health
