Name: L. Daley
Improvement: Body Fat Reduction
Time: 12 Weeks / 2026 New Year Challenge

What was your biggest challenge / obstacle (s)?
My biggest challenge was maintaining focus when “life” was not always conducive to a lifestyle change. Life does not pause just because you set a health goal. There are major life events, stressors, grief, and unexpected responsibilities that can easily pull you away from doing the things that support your health. Staying consistent during those moments was the real challenge.

What motivated you to stay on the course?
One of my biggest motivations was thinking about the future my wife and I are building together. We are hoping to have a child in the future, and I want to be as healthy as possible for that next chapter. For me, this was not just about weight or appearance. It was about longevity, energy, discipline, and being intentional about my health so I can show up fully for my family.

Did your diet change? If so, How? Please be detailed!
Yes. I made a true effort to cut back on carbs at dinner and become more mindful of my portions throughout the day. I tried to focus less on perfection and more on making better choices consistently. Small changes, repeated often, started to feel more realistic and sustainable.

What advice could you give to others that want the same results?
My advice would be to give yourself grace, but do not give yourself unlimited excuses. Life will happen, and there will be days where your routine does not go perfectly. That does not mean you failed. The key is to reset quickly and keep moving forward. Start with changes you can actually maintain, celebrate small wins, and remember that consistency matters more than intensity.
